I want to be partially funny with this statement, and say that my most favorite is that my anxiety and depression medicines are really helping me so yay to being medicated am I right? If you haven’t read my terrible reaction to the first anxiety medicine you can read that here.
If you’re new here I live in the south so snow is a mythical creature we only see once or twice a year. We got a few inches this week and it was beautiful. I hope all of you are staying warm and safe. I know a lot of my blogger friends live where the weather is very dangerous right now, and I’m praying for Y’all!
If you follow me on Instagram then you know that last month I started Zumba, and you guys I love it so much! I’m finally really getting the dances down and it’s making it even more fun. I mean don’t get me wrong I had a blast laughing at myself when I first started, but now it’s a different kind of fun. I feel like I’m getting the hang of the harder dances and it makes me feel proud. If you’ve never done Zumba girl you HAVE to! It’s one of the most fun things I’ve ever done.
True to You by Becky Wade has to be one of the cutest books I’ve read ever. It was a great read to pick up right before Valentine’s and it gave me all the feels! Nora is a librarian that I could relate to on so many levels. She’s a bookworm, fangirl, quirky, and definitely out of the box. When she is volunteering for a safety project she is carried out of the library by a handsome Navy Seal and the adventure begins. After John carries the librarian out he realizes that she may be the one person to help him find his biological parents before he runs out of time. I’ll have a full review up soon, but Y’all this book was so good!
I cannot tell you how sore I was after my first Zumba class. I seriously hurt so bad the next few days I thought something must be wrong. After a day or two of ice packs and a heating pad, I decided to do something else. I started stretching and when that felt good I started looking up yoga videos and Y’all it worked! I now do yoga every day before I go to class and at night before bed. It’s made such a difference in my soreness but also how my body feels in general. If you want to start doing yoga at home I recommend Yoga with Adriene
I’m going to do a post on how I treat myself once a week with a relaxing spa night routine soon, but here’s a sneak peek. Throughout the week after working out I use the regular cheap Epsom salts, but on Friday’s after work and Zumba, I like to indulge with a long soak in the bath with my “fancy” Epson salts. I don’t use them every day because to me they are too expensive to do that, but they sure do make for a nice end of the week treat!
